Our Guide to Easy Living - Vol.1 - "Loving Thyself"

Hello Universe,
Source: www.positivityblog.com
Hope your weekend was everything you hoped for. If it wasn't, learn to be grateful for what was achieved while you hoped.
EasyLivingDose is all about encouraging us to love ourselves as we were meant to and to enjoy the moments in our lives that truly matter.

We spend too much time worrying about others and what they think of us. We go lengths to indirectly beg for acceptance from others. We end up living for other people's approval and validation. In return, we neglect ourselves, become increasingly unhappy and depressed.

Has it occurred to you that those people you spend that much time trying to please do not even think about you in a second out of the 24hrs in the day? It's quite possible that they too are worrying about pleasing others. So we find ourselves in this cycle that we've created by our own thoughts.

The Good News is,  you can break free from this self-imposed curse. You can fall dangerously in love with yourself without being selfish or self-obsessed.

Here are a few pointers as recommended by EasyLivingDose:

1. Don't call yourself names.
Quit the name calling. If you see yourself as a loser,  you start to act like one and others will treat you as one. If you call yourself stupid,  you are reducing yourself as a human to a single social context.

2. Learn to be positive.
The truth is negative people always see the negative in themselves.  They are more concerned with the flaws rather than the good in themselves and others. If you see yourself constantly thinking negative thoughts,  try to turn those thoughts into something beautiful by focusing on things that inspire you.

3. Avoid people who make you feel less of yourself.
Most times, they do so because you are better than them. You don't need such people in your life. CUT 'em off and be around people who appreciate you.

4. Spoil yourself with gifts.
Always learn to reward your hard works with gifts, pampering and some quality R & R because you deserve it and never feel bad for indulging.

5. Don't try to be perfect
Avoid the curse to be all perfect.  Strive towards perfection but never make it a necessity.  Perfection itself is boring.  Embrace your flaws. Love them as a part of a whole. Because that's what makes you so unique.

6. Stand above negative beliefs about yourself.
It doesn't matter what history your family had. It matters nil what people think of your heritage. Choose to rise above the things of the past. Channel those beliefs and rewrite them.  That way, you are indirectly proving your critics wrong and living your life to the fullest.

7. Do things that you enjoy.
Only do things that make you feel good about yourself,  give yourself the luxury of your time and day to develop yourself. Meditate on keywords and phrases that empower you. If there's anything thing you want to achieve, set the course,  work the work and get it done. There's nothing that brings more fulfilment than achieving a fete.

8. Don't apologise for who you are.

9.  Say to your self out loud just how beautiful, great and amazing you are.
Don't wait for third party compliments to make you feel good about yourself.

10. Forgive yourself for past mistakes.
Learn what you can from past mistakes so you don't repeat them, forget and move on. Don't let anything keep you from experiencing genuine happiness brought about by self-love.

We've also provided you with 24 keep-sake Memes and quotes to empower you in your conscious quest for self-love.

All our love,
Xoxo
