Inspiring Outfit Ideas for Church - Part 1 - Women

Aloha!

How are you my beautiful people? Hope you've all been keeping warm. The rains have been merciless and persistent. {Refer to post here on EasyLivingDose for coping tips. Better safe than sorry}.
I unavoidably got caught in it this morning.  How and where?  Is what you might consider 'story for the Gods'. I did manage to get cleaned and curl up in bed for this post. (Tea in hand. Many thanks to Lilo's Jide for the scented restoring Echinacea & Raspberry flavored Twinning tea). It does live up to its name, I tell ya!

Back to today's subject, a lot of the time, we are clueless about what to wear to church so we end up wearing whatever we can lay our hands on. Personally, I look at it this way, if I have to dress up to a date or a night out in town with the gang, then I do feel a sense of responsibility to dress up to see my Father(If God is your father that is, someone has to be in control of the many wonders of this world right?).

I came across this interesting post by Christianity Today,  see link  here. They pretty much cover the basic do's and don'ts of church fashion.
I can't overemphasise that what  we wear to church is important.  And let's not forget that people see us the way we present ourselves socially.  Take that to church and you either get judgements or embarrassing moments. My advice is to always stay covered up in a not-so-drab way and leave the body baring to the night or beach scene. Church is actually a fun place to be. What! With the singing, dancing, wailing, screaming and generally letting go?! It's my happy place.

On whether a woman should wear trousers to church or not is entirely up to you as a person and the rules regarding that in your denomination. I personally prefer lady-like dresses and A-line skirts, blazers, pencil and tulle skirts and maxi dresses. You can never go wrong with those.  Trust me!

Here is EasyLivingDose's pick of 25 easy, chic and essential church outfits ideas (for all body types) that will last all seasons.

Until next post,
Keep reading, keep living,
