Dress for Success - Our Guide

Hello lovelies,

It's Monday again.  The hustle begins.  As you go out today to make some money with a positive attitude, I hope you realise that you also need to dress the part. Yeah. It's not okay to ignore how you look especially in the business world.  You are instantly judged by your appearance.  Ask any recruiter!
Depending on where you work there may be dress codes for every office. It is crucial to follow this code as how you dress might make or break your professional reputation.

The banks and other serious businesses require you to dress up in formal wear(Not my favorite).  Other offices require non formal attires.  Business Casual (my favorite) falls neatly into this category.  Choosing the right clothes for work can be quite tedious but don't ya worry, EasyLivingDose has got your back.

Our fail proof guides:

Prepare ahead of time
Pick your outfits the night before.  Match them appropriately.
Less is definitely more
Hide your goodies from the office environment.  Appear in smart outfits that will make your colleagues take you seriously. When they look at you,  they should get this message "I may look like a porcelain doll but don't mess with me"

Invest in a quality Iron
Always ensure that your clothes are properly ironed and neatly folded.
Wear covered shoes
Comfort over style.  Ensure the inches are not too high.  Practice walking in the heels before wearing them to work.
Wear clothes that fit right
Avoid too tight or too loose. Make sure to get your work clothes in the right sizes.
Learn the color rule
Coordinate colors well. A man should match his belt to his shoes.  A woman should match her shoes to her bag.
Dress the part
Look up to a superior who dresses well for inspiration.  Don't be shy to ask for help. That way you build budding friendship.

Keep makeup and accessories subtle
Don't resume at your duty post looking like a drag Queen. It's just bad for your reputation.
Don't forget to shine
Polish your shoes to perfection.  Ladies,  your nails need care. Leave the fake long ones for the weekend.
Invest in quality
Choose quality over quantity.  own at least one good pair of suits. They are timeless.
Enjoy yourself at work
Don't be a bore. Be confident. Have fun on the job without being a goof ball. Know who you are. Don't compromise, stand for your beliefs while respecting other people's.  Get the job done and get promoted.
Leave short-shorts at home
Below the knee is the acceptable norm in office environments. Wearing super short dresses to work gives you the wrong label. It's also a distraction to other people.
